Nikolas King came to Black Mountain University hoping to find someone to play tabletop miniature wargames with. So far, he's mostly kept to himself. Then the campus grave witch asks him to fix a bone charm. It's a small job for a miniature painter, but Haylee takes an interest in his other work. And she has a roommate he really needs to meet.

Haylee's a wolf-eared flirt with a ghost cat and terrible rumors to her name. Sienna's a porcelain death knight who can talk tabletop tactics for hours. They're pretty, they're strange, they don't actually summon the dead, and they're happy to spend an evening fussing over miniatures with him.

Between lectures, game nights, and visits to their cemetery tower, Nik's finally enjoying university. He's even getting used to having company. Dating both of them might take a little more practice.
